NANCE FRANCK'S US Women's Challenge was last night leading the trio of Whitbread 60s in the New York to Southampton Race with Dennis Conner's Winston 16 miles behind and Britain's Dolphin and Youth Challenge a further 40 miles behind. All have more than 2,500 miles to the finish.
