LAWRIE SMITH last night set a new record mileage to keep his grip on the Omega Trophy in the sixth Whitbread Race, his yacht Intrum Justitia clocking 376.6 miles in the 24 hours to 8pm, an increase of 1.4 miles on the total he had already achieved.
