Sporting digest: Squash

The Irish champion, Derek Ryan, reached the final of the Hartford Cup in Connecticut by beating Amjad Khan of Pakistan. Ryan defeated the fast improving nephew of the world No 1 Jansher Khan 15-10, 15-11, 15-12 and will now face Dan Jenson in the final after the Australian beat the Welsh champion, David Evans, 15-13, 15-8, 14-15, 15-4. It is Ryan's first PSA World Tour final for more than a year.
