England's Paul Johnson will meet the local player Ahmed Barada in the semi-final of the Al-Ahram International in Cairo today. Johnson beat Australia's Dan Jenson 15-7 15-2 11-15 15-10 to earn a place in the last four, while Barada kept local interest alive with victory over the world No 1 Rodney Eyles in front of 5,000 fans in an open-air court close to the great pyramids of Giza. In the women's event England's Cassie Jackman will meet Sarah Fitzgerald of Australia for a place in the final.
