PHILIP WHITLOCK achieved the best victory of his career when he beat Brett Martin, the top seed and world No 4 from Australia, in a qualifying group match in the Mahindra International Challenge in Bombay last night. Whitlock coasted to victory in 43 minutes, winning 15-11, 15-14, 15-13. The Manchester player will now face Finland's Sami Elopuro.
