Fatigue caught up with Peter Nicol as he slipped to a 15-11, 15- 12, 15-12 defeat against the Australian top seed, Rodney Eyles, in the final of the World Open Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. "Rod was so tight and so controlled that I just could not break into the rallies." the 24-year-old second seed said.
Nicol has beaten Eyles twice in the past year, but the Australian was in complete control and never once let his guard down. He trailed only twice, 0-1 in the second game and 1-3 in the third, before taking command with his punishing drives.
