The weight, in pounds (43st 10lb) of the Hawaiian-born sumo wrestler, Konishiki, at yesterday's weigh-in for the New Year Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo, making him the heaviest wrestler in the history of the sport. At his last weigh-in, in September, heweighed 601lbs. The average weight of a top wrestler is 308lbs (22st). Konishiki's ranking has slumped recently because of knee problems.
