Apple announces price and release date of iPhone 5S and 5C in the UK

The new Apple iPhone 5S and 5C smartphones will go on sale in the UK on 20 September, it has been announced.
You'll be able to pre-order the cheaper, pared-down 5C model online from 13 September.
However, anyone wanting to buy the 5S is going to have to wait until the day of release, as the electronics giant will not accept pre-orders on its flagship device.
The cheapest version of the iPhone 5S (16GB) will come with a recommended price-tag of £549. A 32GB model will sell for £629, while a 64GB model will set you back £709.
The iPhone 5C, however, will cost £469 for a 16GB model and £549 for 32GB. It will be available in five colours: blue, green, pink, yellow and white.
Both handsets will be available from Apple Stores, while most major UK mobile operators will be offering iPhones on contracts.
The cheaper 5C will feature the same processor and camera as the previous iPhone 5 model, but will have a slightly better battery. The 5S, meanwhile, promises a faster processor and fingerprint scanning technology. IT will come in gold, silver and 'space grey'.
