Cute cat Hello Kitty continues online adventures

Iconic feline cartoon character Hello Kitty will be 35 years old on November 1st, and Japanese owners Sanrio are preparing for the celebrations by launching their new massively multiplayer online gameworld Hello Kitty Online in more and more territories worldwide.
Having been made publicly available in territories as diverse as Europe, Brazil, North America and Indonesia during the last few weeks, the super-cute world of Hello Kitty was launched in Singapore and Malaysia on October 15th.
Hello Kitty Online integrates with the larger web community SanrioTown and in this way also introduces participants to other famous Sanrio characters.
The gameworld is a brightly coloured place filled with super-cute characters and objects. It features fictional game areas as well as stylized caricatures of Beijing, London, New York, Paris, and Tokyo. It's also notable for an overt focus on co-operation and social networking but without the more aggressive elements often found in other multiplayer online role-playing games.
Similar to a number of popular online community games like the Maple Story adventure, PangYa golf, and Ragnarok Online fantasy battler, Hello Kitty Online is entirely free to play, but is supported by means of optional in-game purchases.
