The action film Fast Five, the fifth in the Fast and the Furious franchise, has been illegally downloaded more than any other film this year.

The blockbuster, which grossed $626m (£406m) worldwide at the box office, was also popular with the pirates, with more than 9.2 million downloads in 2011, according to the TorrentFreak blog.

The comedy The Hangover Part II was the second most pirated film of the year. The British Oscar winner The King's Speech was ninth on the illegal download list.
