Marina Joyce posts first video since ‘Isis kidnapping’ Twitter conspiracy theories
The video is similar to those previously posted on the channel – and Joyce barely addresses the events of the last week at all
Marina Joyce has posted her first video since a global scare that she had been kidnapped by Isis.
The vlogger’s fans erupted in panic this week when some said that strange behaviour and clues seen in her videos seemed to indicate that she in danger – and that she may have been taken by the terrorist group.
Joyce and her family – as well as the police – have said repeatedly that she is fine. But she has now addressed the claims in a video posted on the YouTube channel that began the conspiracy theories.
For most of the video, however, Joyce didn’t speak about what had gone on. She titled the video “FACTS ABOUT ME” and spoke mostly about other information about herself – her favourite song, her religion and her star sign.
The video includes the same music that was used on the controversial “DATE OUTFIT IDEAS”. That same audio appeared on the “QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS” video that was posted just before the controversy began.
The only reference to all that has happened since came at the end of the video – where Joyce once again told her fans that she was fine and that their concern was misplaced.
“By the way guys, thank you for hashtag saving Marina,” Joyce says at the end of the video. “I actually thought that was really sweet.
“But I want to let you guys know that I’m doing OK and feeling fine. I’m feeling really good in myself.
“I’m a really happy person. So I just want to let you know that I’m really happy, I’m in a really good state of mind, and I really love you – so yeah.”
Joyce’s YouTube channel, where the conspiracy theories began, has gained over a million subscribers in the last week.
