The Sims series' first historical outing, The Sims Medieval, is to welcome treasure hunts and new pets in a Pirates & Nobles adventure pack that's due in August.
While The Sims Medieval was an altogether more scripted affair than previous Sim games, giving players a hero sim to guide through various quests, the new pack will "give players more freedom to play as they want."
There are also more missions for those who enjoyed the quest-based nature of Medieval, as a conflict between the Pirates and Nobles reaches Kingdom Ambition.
The Sims' own Facebook app, The Sims Social, has seen steady growth since its unofficial launch in June, while the Sims-influenced YoVille eventually led to Zynga's dominant FarmVille and CityVille apps.
