People spend 3,200 days watching TV in their lifetime, new poll claims
Viewers waste similar stretch deciding what to watch, results suggest

The average person will sit through 78,705 hours of TV in their lifetime, a new poll has claimed.
A survey of 2,000 adults revealed they spent an average of three and a half hours a day watching television, which equates to 1,248 hours a year.
Over the average adult lifetime, this means participants could immerse themselves in 3,639 films and 31,507 episodes of TV shows at homes.
The survey also found that six in 10 adults said they would be lost without their television set.
Fifteen per cent said they were frustrated by having too much choice, with results indicating an average of 2,943 hours of a lifetime spent deciding what to watch for those surveyed.
People talking over a favourite show, others asking questions and poor visual quality were the participants' main annoyances.
James Thomas, home entertainment product manager at LG UK said: “Everyone has a favourite series to sink into at the end of a day, but many are missing out on the full experience due to the limitations of an old TV.”
