Five current UFC Champions are in contention to become cover athlete for the video game UFC Undisputed 3, with the winner to be determined by fan votes.
Favorites for the box shot must be Georges St-Pierre, UFC Welterweight Champion, and Anderson Silva, who has been dominating the Middleweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship for the last five years.
However, in December 2010 it was the Québécois St-Pierre who became the world's best pound-for-pound fighter, according to the experts at mixed martial arts site Sherdog.
On the other hand, Silva has held the Middleweight championship belt since October 2006, two years longer than St-Pierre's divisional reign.
Frank Edgar and Cain Velasquez represent the Lightweight and Heavyweight divisions respectively. The nimble Edgar measures 5'6" (1.68m) and weighs in at around 155lbs (70kg), as compared to Velasquez's 6'1" and 244lbs (1.85m, 110kg).
Jon Jones is the most recent of all five titleholders, having taken the Light Heavyweight belt in March 2011.
UFC Undisputed 3 is out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 3, 2012 in North America and January 27 in European regions.
Competitor Supremacy MMA released September 13 (September 27, European) while the future of EA Sports MMA is unknown.
Cover voting closes on September 30 and takes place at: ufc.com/ufcundisputed3
