THE Captain is not a man to interfere, uninvited, in the affairs of Sir Anthony Buck, but I did spot one point of wider interest in the coverage of the latest Lady Buck. This was when she entered the room and Sir Anthony, 'lounging over a glass of wine', said: 'Consider me standing.' This is a useful social device, new to me, which clearly has great potential, as in 'Consider that door opened for you' or 'Consider me politely laughing at your delightful sally'. On behalf of the nation, Sir Anthony, thank you. We shall call it 'bucking'.
