PITY poor Ronnie Mutebi, who, as I reported last week, was hoping to be crowned the 36th Kabaka of the Buganda in a magnificent ceremony next Saturday. Work has not even started on the highway between the Ugandan capital, Kampala, and the royal mound at Buddo, where the coronation will take place. And now there's another problem. The entire shebang is being postponed a week. The official reason is that the necessary legislation was only signed on Thursday. But there is another reason: the T-shirts and coronation mugs aren't ready. Various dignitaries from around the world who had been persuaded to fly out on special air tickets are not amused. The tickets can't be changed, and no refund will be paid.
