One times one is...
Under the current curriculum, pupils have to learn times tables up to 10 by the age of 11.
Mr Gove now wants to bring the 12s back in, and ask students to learn multiplication sums up to the dozen - by the age of nine.
Music to Carol Vorderman's ears perhaps, but not to any members of the maths-hating brigade.
