JK Rowling: the top storyteller of her generation will appear, like a seraph descended from heaven, to meet her public (Reuters)
She's only gone and cast a Bedazzling Hex on herself!
Harry Potter author JK Rowling has been revealed as the author of bestselling book The Cuckoo’s Calling.
The crime novel won universal praise from critics when it was published in April, as Rowling decided to write under the pseudonym 'Robert Galbraith', posing as a debut novel.
Ms Rowling told the Sunday Times that she had hoped the true identity behind her pen name would have been kept secret for longer:
“Being Robert Galbraith has been such a liberating experience,” she said. “It has been wonderful to publish without hype and expectation and pure pleasure to get feedback under a different name.”
But would this make you more likely to buy the book?
