Sir: Why are we told (Home News, 26 May) that Presiley Baxendale QC is 41, when we are not told how old Alan Clark, Lord Justice Scott, Christopher Muttukumaru , Sir Hal Miller or Lieutenant-Colonel Richard Glazebrook are? It might have made more sense to have a photograph of her, so that at least we could judge if she looks her age.

More informative altogether would have been an explanation of the derivation of Miss Baxendale's Christian name.
