Letter: Aggression in queues that is simple rudeness

Sir: Imogen Edwards-Jones suggests that the apparent British willingness to 'sit in queues' stems from docility ('Taking control at the end of the line', 1 July). I disagree.

Contrary to her view that the majority actually enjoy queuing, while she is one of a minority who feel 'aggressive and irritable' and therefore have no compunction about pushing to the head of a queue, I would suggest that most of us experience the same sense of frustration, but allow courtesy and a sense of fairness to prevail over selfish and rude behaviour.
