Letter: Every two hours

I WAS amused by Jonathan Margolis's remarks on "stupid staff" ("Make-'em-jump Jack saved my holiday", 25 July). The other day I rang the National Rail inquiries number to ask the Sunday-afternoon departure times of London-bound trains on a nearby branch line. "The trains run every two hours, at 16 minutes past the hour." "Fine," I said, "but can you tell me which two hours?" "Every two hours."
