YOUR report ('MP fights SFO over public hearings', Business, 31 January) on the Social Security Select Committee's attempt to force former Maxwell associates to answer questions in public ends: 'It is a question of people 'being forced to face public scrutiny,' a source close to the select committee said.' Put another way: 'People have to be publicly accountable for their actions.'
