LETTER:I'd recognise my own girlfriend

From Mr Martin Elliott Sir: With regard to Michael Lancashire's missive of 13 January about the identity of the knickerless tennis player, I am confused as to his sources. May I here definitively say that the girl in question was correctly identified by David Crawford (letter, 4 January). Her name was Fiona Butler, who was my girlfriend at the time. I was the photographer.

May I suggest that in the future Mr Lancashire steers well clear of girls who model for £10 a time.
