Sir: Five years ago a 10-year-old friend of ours declared: 'When I grow up, I am going to be a vicaress'. Would Ray Bloomfield (letters, 24 April) prefer her to be a parsoness? Perhaps your readers can suggest a more suitable title for these ladies, of whom, quite soon, there will be an increasing number.
