Letter: Let the Wren soar above a piazza in Paternoster Square

Sir: You have my full support apropos the need for a better design in Paternoster Square. "Post-modern classicism" was just about OK in the Eighties, but it's old hat now, especially when there is so much excellent new modern architecture around, that it's a pity to go backwards.

The city fathers have, I think, a pretty fair record of commissioning interesting new buildings. Let us hope this will continue.
