From Mr Harold Booth Sir: Samples taken from athletes for the purpose of testing for illegal substances should be divided immediately into three equal parts, which are then analysed by three independent laboratories. Such a procedure is scientifically sound; in addition, it would generate and maintain confidence among athletes and the general public alike.
