Sir: The table of religions accompanying your article about sin indicates that cruelty to animals is not a sin in Islam. This is not correct.

Cruelty to animals is a sin punished by God in the afterlife. Conversely, kindness to animals is rewarded by Him. Islam does not permit blood sports, and it entreats us to look after the animals in our care.
