Should the idea of sending bogus letters to newspapers gain credence among the Tory faithful, they might like to reflect on the practice used by Internet users when they suspect the integrity of the web is being abused. "Flaming", the swamping of the originator's system with angry mail, can be replicated with letters, faxes and e-mails to Central Office.
