While drawing the line at refusing to enjoy Cowes Week - a free and glorious spectacle on our doorstep ("...Harry's not invited", 11 August) - we trust the publicity given to the island's high unemployment and low wages will emphasise that the Isle of Wight does not enjoy the general prosperity of the South. But we urge residents of East Cowes to look on the bright side. At least we are not in Seaview with the constant danger of tripping over hordes of Bottomleys at play.
