Sierra Hutton-Wilson (Letters, 2 June) is right that humps cause road rage - as well as damage to cars, people and the environment. A growing number of councils believe that indiscriminate "humping" is a good way of spending public money and keeping staff in work. The tarmac leviathans are popping up everywhere and even the safest of side-streets are being turned into vicious obstacle courses.
