The first trailer for the upcoming Charlie's Angels film has been released, teasing out the performances of Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska in the franchise reboot.

Stewart, Scott and Balinska respectively play Sabina Wilson, Elena Houghlin and Jane Kano as the central trio. This time around, the Angels are sent on an assignment to handle a dangerous new technology after a whistleblower alerts them to its existence.

Elizabeth Banks, the film's director and co-producer, also appears as one of several characters named Bosley. In the original TV series, John Bosley was an employee of the namesake Charlie who helped the Angels on their crime-fighting missions.

Sam Claflin, Djimon Hounsou and Patrick Stewart have been cast as the three other Bosleys. Noah Centineo, will play a character named Langston.

Nat Faxon is set to feature as Charlie, while Luis Gerardo Méndez will portray The Saint.

Charlie's Angels will be released on 15 November, 2019 in the US and 29 November, 2019 in the UK.

The film is adapted from the Charlie's Angels TV show that aired from 1976 to 1981.

This reboot will be the third film in the franchise.

The first two, Charlie's Angels and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, were released in 2000 and 2003 respectively and starred Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore.
