Still here? As you likely know (if you hung around until the very end of the credits) there are five post-credits scenes, ranging from the introduction of teenage Groot to the golden alien Ayesha teasing Adam Warlock.

Who is that, I hear you ask. In short, Warlock was designed by an Earth-based group called the Enclave, designed to be the perfect human being. Originally birthed as 'Him', the character fights Thor and escapes to space, entering a cocoon and reemerging as Adam.

Soon after, the High Evolutionary - another comic book character - who gives Warlock the Soul Gem. Eventually, he confronts Thanos and wields the Infinity Gauntlet for some time.

Despite playing a large part in the battle against Thanos, Gunn confirms Warlock won't be part of Infinity War, instead, likely appearing in Guardians Vol. 3.

"Definitely, I see Adam Warlock as something we’re going to use in the Marvel cosmic universe," the director says. "Whether that’s in Guardians Vol. 3 or something else, I'm not sure. It’s not Infinity War, that's for sure. But we will get to meet him."

Another post-credit scene sees Sylvester Stallone's character Stakar - AKA Starhawk - team up with Michelle Yeoh's Aleta, Ving Rhames's Charlie-27, and Mainframe, who is voiced by Miley Cyrus.

Each was a member of the original, pre-Star Lord Guardians, Gunn hinting we could very well see these characters in their own film some-time soon.

"I would love to see those characters reappear in the future," he says. "Where exactly they will be, whether it is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 or their own movie, or someone else's movie, we’ll have to wait and see.

"I think I have most of the answers now but we’ll have to completely figure it out in a little bit."

Meanwhile, the final post-credit scene featuring Stan Lee confirmed a huge fan-theory regarding the Marvel mastermind. Kevin Feige recently spoke about Lee here.
