A brief glimpse at the first trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has been unveiled by Universal.

Returning alongside Pratt in the Jurassic World sequel are Bryce Dallas Howard and B.D. Wong who both starred in the 2015 blockbuster.

The sequel - which is directed by J.A. Bayona - sees the addition of Justice Smith, James Cromwell, Toby Jones and Jeff Goldblum who will reprise the role of beloved Jurassic Park character Ian Malcolm.

Director Bayona's previous credits include The Orphanage, The Impossible and A Monster Calls.

Upon its release, Jurassic World made more than $1.6bn to become the fourth highest-grossing film of all time.

Teasing the sequel, Pratt said: “[Fallen Kingdom] is going to be a scarier version, a little bit darker, and will continue to expand and carry the story forward in a way that is really unexpected and you wouldn't have imagined.”

Last month, co-screenwriter Colin Trevorrow - who directed the first Jurassic World - shared a clip from the forthcoming sequel showing a baby dinosaur cuddling up to Chris Pratt's protagonist, Owen.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released 22 June 2018. Check back here this Friday (8 December) for your first look at the full trailer as well as a breakdown from Bayona himself.
