Mark Hamill on Disney's reaction to him trolling fans: 'What are they gonna do fire me?'

Mark Hamill has taken a swipe at Ivanka Trump after she attempted to make a Star Wars reference in a tweet.

In a picture posted on Twitter and Instagram, the daughter of the US president was shown in evening dress with her husband, Jared Kushner, with one of her sons wearing a Storm Trooper costume.

“The Force is strong in my family,” she wrote in the caption.

Hamill, famous for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, quote-tweeted the image and commented: “You misspelled ‘Fraud’” and added the hashtag #GoForceYourself.

The tweet has been shared more than 70,000 times and received more than 381,000 likes at the time of writing.

Hamill is a vocal critic of Trump and his administration, and has compared his leadership unfavourably with past presidents.

He next stars in the forthcoming film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which is scheduled for release on 19 December 2019.
