Marvel confirms Avengers: Endgame Easter egg was intentional weeks before its one-year anniversary

One moment in blockbuster was designed to be MCU throwback

Marvel Studios has confirmed a touching Avengers: Endgame Easter egg a few weeks before the blockbuster’s one-year anniversary.

The moment in questions arrives when the surviving characters ready themselves to journey back in time via the Quantum Realm.

As they get into position, each hero holds their fist out in a circle and, when the camera looks down on them, it seems to reflect Iron Man’s old arc reactor belonging to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr).

It turns out that is precisely what the Russo brothers were going for – Marvel’s official Twitter account shared a photo of the images alongside one another.

Another film released as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) that recently had a hidden detail unearthed is 2011’s Thor: The Dark World.

Despite its status as one the weaker additions to the series, the film is proving it’s worth as an important one, considering fans believe a background prop teases the arrival of the X-Men.

Meanwhile, fans believe that director Taika Waititi let slip a huge spoiler about new Thor sequel Love and Thunder during an Instagram Live Q&A.

Avengers: Endgame – which is available to stream on Disney+ and NOW TV – was released on 25 April 2019, and surpassed Avatar to become the most successful film of all time at the global box office.
