When the first trailer for The Mummy was released earlier this month, fans were quick to note the extreme scream Tom Cruise does just before his character meets his untimely death.

Following the initial trailer’s release, something miraculous happened. IMAX accidentally uploaded the clip without the soundtrack, isolating many of the vocal cues, including the scream.

The internet jumped on the clip, with thousands of Cruise fans sharing the unfinished trailer. With so much interest, it was inevitable the audio would become a meme.

Lo and Behold, one savvy internet user has replaced numerous famous uses of the “Wilhelm Scream” with the “The Tom Cruise Wilhelm Scream”. Watch below.

The Wilhelm Scream is a soundbite taken from the 1951 film Distant Drums that has been used in over 200 films, including the Star Wars series, Indiana Jones, and Spaceballs.

Whether Cruise’s scream will be used across quite the same number of films remains to be seen. The Mummy hits cinemas 9 June 2017.
