Rumours surrounding Marvel’s Cinematic Universe seem to surface every other day, yet few receive the same coverage this recent one has.

According to movie website JoBlo, we’ll be seeing the Hulk and Thor teaming up way before the third Avengers film in Thor: Ragnarok.

That’s right, Bruce Banner’s alter-ego will be popping up somehow in the Norse God’s film. In what capacity is unknown although the source reportedly said the story would invlove a “distant planet" that is "not Asgard and not Earth”.

Marvel fans have been longing for a Planet Hulk movie for as long as the MCU has existed - the comic book story revolving around the Green Guy being tricked by the Illuminati into leaving Earth. The last time we saw Hulk was at the end of Age of Ultron when he was flying solo.

The article also confirms that Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander - AKA Loki and Lady Sif - would unsurprisingly be returning to the series.

Thor: Ragnarok, the third film in the series, will reportedly be directed by Taiki Waititi and is due to reach cinemas 27 October 2017.
