After fans can now enjoy the follow-up film - After We Collided on streaming services.

The highly anticipated sequel to 2019 teen romance After is available to watch on Amazon Prime Video in the UK from 22 December.

The original After film is centred around the relationship between Tessa (Josephine Langford), a naive college freshman and Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin), a mysterious student.

The series is based on a One Direction fan-fiction of the same name, which was written by Anna Todd in 2013. The series has been read more than one billion times on Wattpad and is described as a “Fifty Shades-type story for a younger generation”.

In Todd’s original story, the character of “bad boy” Hardin is based on Harry Styles, with the series consisting of five books.

After We Collided picks up one month after the couple went their separate ways, with Tessa catching the eye of newcomer Trevor Matthews (Dylan Sprouse) while interning at a publishing company.

Candice King, Shane Paul McGhie, Selma Blaur, Inanna Sarkis and Samuel Larsen also star.

After We Collided was given a limited released in UK cinemas in September, where it was a surprise hit in the box office, grossing more than £1 million.

After We Collided is available to watch on Amazon Prime from 22 December.
