Wonder Woman 2: Gal Gadot confirms Brett Ratner will not be involved

'Everyone knew what was the right thing to do'

Last week, Gal Gadot was reported to have informed Warner Bros. that she would not return for the Wonder Woman sequel unless the studio severed ties with producer Brett Ratner, who faces multiple allegations of sexual harassment.

Speaking to NBC’s Today show following the initial report, the actor confirmed the co-financier has been removed from the project.

Asked about the initial claims, Gador replied: “The truth is, there’s so many people involved in making this movie, it’s not just me, and they all echoed the same sentiments.

“Everyone knew what was the right thing to do. But there was nothing for me to actually come and say because [the decision] was already done before this article came out.”

Warner Bros. ties with RatPac-Dune Entertainment — Ratner’s production company — were already scheduled to end next April. Their contract was not expected to be renewed, the allegations driving the final wedge between the two.

Olivia Munn was among those who made allegations against Ratner, Waner Bros. cutting ties with the director following an initial report. Ellen Page also wrote about Ratner, claiming the director of X-Men: Last Stand “outed” her on the film’s set.
