'They told me you were brutal'

Today we bring you a clip from a pivotal scene in We Need To Talk About Kevin director Lynne Ramsay's brutal new thriller, You Were Never Really Here.

The film, scored by Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood, sees a hulking Joaquin Phoenix play a contract killer on the brink of suicide who gets hounded by a major crime ring after a hit goes wrong.

In the clip, Phoenix's protagonist, Joe, offers his services to a man whose child has been kidnapped.

"[They] told me you were brutal," the man said, to which he replies coldly: "I can be."
