Another double bill this week - but something rather different to The Amazons featured in Tuesday's piece.

Muzi is a South African artist who's been catching the attention of the likes of Stormzy, The Prodigy and Diplo.

It's super-catchy electronica infused with hip hop, kwaito and traditional Zulu music - we're premiering the video for his track Nisgogcwala VIP [contains flashing imagery] which was directed by King Adz.

Check it out and let us know what you think:

What are you listening to at the moment?

Internet hype got me to buy the new Frank Ocean Blond album. Everyone was talking about it on my twitter timeline, so I decided to check it out. I’m also listening to the new Tourist album, U. I love how he takes chances with his productions. It's really inspiring.

What have you got planned for the rest of 2016?

I’m dropping my debut album, Boom Shaka, this week. I’ve worked really hard on it so having it finally drop is something I'm very excited about. I'm evolving as a music producer so I'm also very excited about the new stuff I'm making.

Berlin is an amazing place but I can't wait to go back home to South Africa, to see my family and friends and also do some DJ shows. Sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on the scene there, everything looks so dope on the internet, so it will be super cool to re-immerse myself in the scene not only as a producer but as a fan of South African music/art and see how it’s grown.

I want to make as many music videos as I can for Boom Shaka. It's probably going to be mostly DIY stuff but it'll be dope DIY stuff. We've already made 3 videos, planning to make at least another 3, euro-willing. I’m also planning to do as much skateboarding before the European winter hits. I'm still not used to that type of cold weather. I don't think anyone gets used to it really LOL.

Other than that, I have this clothing label called FRESHER.THAN.YOUR.IDOL that I'm working on. Finally made sample pieces that I'm happy about so might release limited edition pieces before the year is out.

What was the first gig you ever played and what’s been the best gig so far?

The first gig I ever played was at some rooftop event in Johannesburg, June 2013. Almost all my gigs are super cool. I love leaving my heart on stage but Rocking The Daisies 2014 in South Africa was amazing and so was the Vice House Party in Berlin.

Boom Shaka - the debut LP from Muzi, is out Friday 2 September
