Kacey Musgraves has joined a prestigious and small group of artists who have won best album awards for the same record at the ACMs, the CMAs and the Grammys.

Her fourth studio record Golden Hour is the third album and the first in over a decade to achieve the feat, following in the footsteps of Taylor Swift's 2008 album Fearless, and 2000's O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack.

Musgraves also took home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year, while Dan + Shay took home the prizes for Single and Song of the Year (for "Tequila") and also for best Vocal Duo.

This year's ceremony was hosted by country music icon Reba McEntire, who returned to her role for the 16th time. Before the show, she promised it would be politics-free.

"We've got to keep it light," she said. "We've got to keep it fun. No politics. This is fun. This is entertainment. We are in the entertainment business, and that's what we're going to be doing."
