Chip has hit out at Stormzy, claiming the grime star and his friends confronted him at his house in June after rumours of a feud between the pair emerged.

Posting a now-deleted video on Twitter, Chip wrote: “June… When you get sent a video of Stormzy & friends tryna run up on your house.”

According to Metro.co.uk, in the video, Stormzy could be heard saying: “Telephone me, innit,” before he’s told: “You think you can just pull up to people’s houses? No I ain’t gonna phone you, Stormzy. You’re disrespectful bro, and that’s that.”

Rumours of tensions between the rappers began in March, when Chip teamed up with Skepta and Young Adz on the track “Waze”, which appeared to allude to Stormzy with the lyrics: “You ain’t even done ten years in this ting. Round here we don’t hear you’re a king, man will take your throne.”

Many Stormzy fans then speculated that the rapper hit back at Chip with his verse on Tion Wayne’s song “I Dunno”, in which he raps: “Is he sending for me? I dunno. What them boy there sell first week? I dunno.”

Chip is thought to have responded to Stormzy again earlier this week on his new track “Flowers”.

The Independent has contacted Stormzy’s representatives for comment on the video.

Stormzy pledged earlier this year to give away £10m over the course of a decade to help combat racial inequality in the UK.

This first donation will award cash grants to around 50 students, supporting those who need financial aid to take part in education in any form, not just university.

Anyone from an under-resourced and under-represented community is able to apply for a scholarship at the Black Heart Foundation.
