Clean Bandit are currently ahead in the race to claim the Christmas No.1 on Friday, figures have suggested.

The pop band's single 'Rockabye' featuring Anne-Marie and Sean Paul is 4,000 copies ahead of its nearest rival - 'Human' by Rag N Bone Man - after holding onto the top spot for the past six weeks, according to the Official Chart Company.

Little Mix have seen a massive increase in sales for their single 'Touch', which jumped from 23 to three in the charts. At number four is former One Direction member and now solo artist Louis Tomlinson, with his debut solo single 'Just Hold On' ft. Steve Aoki.

X Factor winner Matt Terry is at number five with his single 'When Christmas Comes Around', which was penned by Ed Sheeran.

A tribute to murdered Labour MP Jo Cox looks as though it will miss the top 40. The cover of the Rolling Stones' song 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' features David Gray, KT Tunstall and a cross-party group of MPs is currently sitting at number 59 in the midweek chart update.

The official Christmas chart will be revealed live on Greg James' BBC Radio 1 show on Friday 23 December from 4pm.
