Diana Ross has been confirmed as the first artist who will perform at the 50th anniversary of Glastonbury Festival in 2020.

The iconic artist confirmed the news on her official social media channels, and it was also confirmed from the Glastonbury accounts.

"This is a dream come true," Ross tweeted. "To all the fans across the world, this is my tribute to you. I'm coming to Glastonbury, with love. #Glastonbury 2020. @GlastoFest."

Glastonbury's official Twitter confirmed that Ross will play the Sunday legends slot on the Pyramid Stage.

Fans have until 5pm on Thursday 31 October to enter the ballot for 50 pairs of tickets to next year's event.

Those looking to bag a pair of tickets can enter the registration numbers of themselves and up to one guest into the entry form at this link for an extra chance to get tickets.

The ballot will be drawn in the week commencing 4 November.
