Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack and score: All the confirmed artists who will appear on the video-game

Woody Jackson, who composed the score for the first Red Dead Redemption, returns for the sequel

Red Dead Redemption 2 has received stellar reviews across the board, with many critics highlighting the video game’s soundtrack as particularly atmospheric.

Ahead of the game’s release, Rockstar - the company behind the game – revealed some details about the soundtrack, which is expected to include over 192 songs.

Arca, Duane Eddy and Queens of the Stone Age drummer Jon Theodore have all worked on tracks for the game. Woody Jackson, who composed the score for the first Red Dead Redemption and Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V, returns for the sequel, collaborating with Colin Stetson (a saxophonist and regular Arcade Fire contributor), David Ferguson and David Ralicke.

Other names confirmed by Rockstar include Matt Sweeney, Gabe Witcher, Luke O’Malley, Mario Batkovic, Rabih Beaini and Senyawa have all contributed to the sountrack.

Grammy award-winner Daniel Lanois (who regularly work with Brian Eno and has produced albums for U2 and Bob Dylan) has produced all “vocal moments” in the game. Numerous well-known artists are also rumoured to make appearances in the game, although will no be revealed until the game’s release.
