Tommy Lee says he’ll return to his ‘motherland’ if Trump is re-elected
‘The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we’re embarrassing,' said the drummer
Tommy Lee has sworn that if Donald Trump wins the US election he’ll return to Greece.
The Mötley Crüe drummer told The Big Issue that if Trump is re-elected in November he is “out of here”.
Lee said: “Dude, I swear to God if that happens then I’m coming over to visit the UK – I’m out of here”.
The musician said that he will “go back to my motherland, go back to Greece and get a house on one of the islands”.
The rockstar – real name Thomas Lee Bass – was born in Greece in 1962, before moving to the US when he was a one-year-old.
Lee continued: “The thing that stings the most is that I feel like we’re embarrassing.”
“I feel like people in Europe and the rest of the world look at America and think: ‘What the f*** are you guys doing over there? Stop voting for celebrities and get someone real to run the country,” he said.
The 58-year-old was set to reunite with Mötley Crüe for a stadium tour alongside Def Leppard this year, however the dates have been pushed to 2021 due to the ongoing pandemic.
