American Horror Story star Lily Rabe says filming in New Orleans brought lots of spooky encounters on set
'You might be in a room alone but you're not necessarily the only one there,' said the actor
Actor Lily Rabe has suggested that there could have been paranormal forces at play behind the scenes of American Horror Story.
Rabe played the character of the young witch Misty Day in the third season of the hit FX anthology series, subtitled Coven, which aired back in 2013.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Rabe claimed that the New Orleans location where the series was filmed held an uncanny supernatural energy.
“There were lots of [spooky encounters],” she said. “Yeah, you feel things, and there's a lot of magic in that city.
“All kinds of magic and energy, and the feeling that you might be in a room alone but you're not necessarily the only one there. That definitely happened for a lot of us.”
Rabe has starred in many other seasons of Ryan Murphy’s American Horror Story, playing a variety of different roles.
However, the actor revealed that the character of Misty holds a special relevance to her.
“The reason I love coming back to Misty is just because she's so optimistic about the world,” she said. “I feel like Misty is someone who really sees the good in the world. So that's always a relief, to play her.”
Seasons one to eight of American Horror Story can be watched on Netflix in the UK, with season nine available on Fox and Now TV.
