Melania Trump's recent interview with Anderson Cooper marked the first time the potential First Lady appeared in public for questioning since Donald Trump’s comments about grabbing women were reported on by almost ever news outlet in the world.

Once again, Stephen Colbert was one of the first to mock both Trumps, employing Laura Benanti once more to impersonate Melania - the actor previously pretended to be Melania following her widely mocked speech at the Republican Convention.

“He explained it was locker room talk,” she told the late night host. “I did not know this but when American men gather to sport, they always brag about grabbing women by the Billy Bush.”

The pair also joked about Melania being helped by people off-screen, reassuring the character she had indeed forgiven her husband.

“No matter how nice they seem, secretly they are all foul-mouthed Billy Bush-grabbing pigs,” she said of boys and men. “I’m talking about your husband, your brother, the pope, Luke Skywalker, all of them. All of them, all animals. If only a woman could be president.”

Recently, Barack Obama appeared on Colbert’s show to improve his CV, addressing criticism of his Nobel Peace Prize.
