US sitcom The Good Place has been renewed for a third season much to the excitement of fans.
Created by Michael Schur, the series follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell), a woman forced to hide her morally imperfect behaviour after being mistakenly sent to heaven. Its renewal was reported by THR.
Co-starring in the series alongside Bell are Ted Danson, William Jackson Harper and Jameela Jamil.
Having originally debuted on US network NBC in 2016, the fantasy series had its profile raised after being added to the UK version of Netflix earlier this year where it received huge acclaim and fervent social media traction.

The Good Place is currently on hiatus with its second season set to resume January 2018.
